Hakuna matata

I think I've mentioned it before, but Bea is currently head over heels with The Lion King. I mean who can blame her, I belted out those quality tunes daily when I was a little kid, too. And here I am belting them out all over again! We brought our trusty Lion King blu-ray with us to the grandparents' for Thanksgiving and it was accidentally left behind. She has taken it quite well, nothing a little Nemo can't fix, but I guess pondering the loss has inspired her to start singing "Hakuna Matata" on her own. Mark and I were dying laughing and enjoying her take on the song -- hand motions and everything, so adorably cute.

Tomorrow is our last day of classes and finals start Monday, so I will be buried in legal pads, books, and multi-colored pens for the next week. One more semester down, 5 to go! From here on out we will be learning a lot more "doctor stuff," starting with a surgery skills class next semester. I'm super excited, I feel like it's a big step closer to having those DVM letters behind my name. Needless to stay, the stress of finals is looming so I'm trying to remind myself of the "Hakuna Matata" attitude as I all but inject caffeine in my veins desperate for focus -- it means no worries, I will have a whole month off with my sweet baby in just one week!
